Greater Holland Area
Foster Care Prayer Vigil

Religion that God our Father accepts
as pure and faultless is this:
to look after orphans and widows in their distress...

-James 1:27

Right now there are 19,000 children in foster care in Michigan: 6,000 of them are waiting for adoptive homes. These children have lost everything. They are hurt, broken, angry and often left feeling lost and hopeless.

Is it our responsibility to pray.

It is our privilege to bring them before the Lord.

It is an honor to come together
as a community

 and pray on their behalf.

A Father of the fatherless,
a defender of widows,
is God in His holy dwelling.
God sets the lonely in families...
Psalm 68: 5-6
